Min/Max Time: Decked to the Nines

August 21, 2011 1 comment

Today’s article is going to be breaking a little from the norm of maximizing your new gear, experience and financial gain in comparison with time. Today I am going to delve into one of the most captivating parts of the 4.3 news that we have heard so far, Transmogrification (here on referred to as Transmog or Mogging if I get truly lazy).

RPGenius: Rolling your toon

Mr.T

I pity the fool who ain't rollin with the Mohawks!

In the beginning, the Old Gods created the toons, and it was good.

Then they created the stamina, to sustain the toons, and it too was good.

After this, the Old Gods created the boars to allow the toons to use their stamina and skill, and it was good.

Then they created the rogues, and everything went to hell.

I don’t remember the exact date when I started living life as a game, and I don’t remember the exact event that caused this part of my soul to awaken.  What I do know is that my dad is probably to thank/blame for this.

Min/Max Time: Dailies and Grouping FTW

August 1, 2011 Leave a comment

Today I wanted to delve into two ways of viewing the same part of WoW. A great deal of time that is spent at max level can be and often is dedicated to running the dailies. In order to Min/Max our time in game it is crucial to either complete a task in the fastest manor possible or multi task so that you beat two night elves with one totem. Here are two ways of making sure that this happens while completing your dailies.

NINJA!

I shall take your plate as my own!

Wow, you read my first post, and it didn’t scare you away!  For those of you that loved the theme of my first post, I’m going to totally disappoint you, since I’m going to go a little off topic today.  I have a few life lessons, reasons to do your homework, and some Warcraft ideas.

First of all, Amy Winehouse was found dead in London this past weekend.  Very sad story, but not at all unexpected from her past antics and unwillingness to recognize the path she was traveling.  You can only burn yourself out so much before it takes its toll.  How does this tie into a Warcraft blog?  Read more…

Loremaster Legends: In the Beginning…

So, for this first ever blog post of mine, I thought I’d break down the lore, from the beginning, and work my way forward through the timeline, to create a general sense of comfort for those not quite familiar with how dates work in the Warcraft universe and when things happened. This will provide a clear, accurate, chronological order of the events connected to game we all love to play.  Forgive me if I throw in bits from the RPG books, since those just recently got declared non-canon. If you have a particular subject you want me to write about, however, I’d gladly skip ahead/back/sideways to cover it, or will have an episode done about it on the podcast as soon as we can. But, enough jibba-jabba as a certain Night Elf Mohawk might say.  On with this post’s legend:  The Titans!

Min/Max Time: How Archeology can help with Queue times

There are many Warcraft players out in the community that cannot be at their computer for endless amounts of hours. Some of us can only be in Azeroth for a couple hours each day or for specific blocks of time throughout each week. I am a family man with two kids and a loving and beautiful wife. Needless to say I have a limited amount of time to spend in the game. So we are here to answer the great question “How can I get the most out of the precious time I have in game?”

RPGenius: Everyday is an Epic Quest

Firelands is not for fishing

Ever since I can remember, I have felt like I’ve been incomplete.  Not in a bad, depressing way, but in a way that makes me feel like I should be doing something additional to fill gaps.  Then, when I would find something new, be it a new skill, school project, or video game, I would dive into it with fanatic veal, devoting my very being to its completion.  Yes, the completion: that ever-approaching goal on the horizon, simultaneously beckoning me toward its glorious light and taunting me that I hadn’t already completed the journey.  There I am again, feeling incomplete, needing more; this time, more progress toward the goal.  Every time I finish a project, I want to fill that gap with more ventures, but Read more…
